About Me.
Rule of thumb for UX: More options, more problems.
A little bit about myself.
Hi I'm Alicia. I’m currently a designer at TELUS Digital.. I graduated in June 2022 from the Digital Design and Development program at BCIT. Throughout my experiences in school and in the industry, I have been a part of designing and developing websites and mobile applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and React Native. In addition, I also enjoy using Adobe applications such as InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects.

If you can’t find me at my computer….
If you can't find me at my computer, I'm probably hanging out with my dogs, Mia and Dewey. Mia is a 6 year old french bulldog and dewey is a 1.5 year old golden retriever (he doesn’t look like the posted photo anymore…). In the summer, I enjoy spending my days in the sun and in the winter you can find me on the mountains going down the slopes! I’m a big foodie and love trying new foods too, so if you know any good eats, let me know! Thanks for reading!
Research.
The first step in any good final product is good, credible research. Completing the endless amounts of user tests lead me to realize the importance of user research prior to designing, prototyping, and developing.
Prototype.
Prototyping is one of my favourite parts of the design process. Enrolling in BCIT gave me the opportunity to enhance and perfect my prototyping skills. My go-to tool is Figma as it allows others to freely collaborate with others.
Design.
In the past 2 years, I learned to enhance my UX/UI design skills. A few of the most important things that I believe that should always be incorporated in every mobile or web app is exceptional usability and accessibility for all users.
